It’s something that sits at the center of who I am as a leader.
I’m drawn to coaching because I’ve lived the complexity of leadership in higher education, the pressure, the ambiguity, the responsibility, the moments where people feel stretched thin or unsure of their next step. I know what it feels like to lead through transition, to steady a team in crisis, to rebuild trust, and to help people find clarity when everything around them is shifting.
That lived experience is what makes me such a powerful coach.
Comes from a deep belief that leadership is an inside job, the heart of my L.I.F.T. philosophy. I don’t coach from theory. I coach from empathy, experience, and a genuine desire to help people grow into the strongest, most grounded version of themselves.
I’ve spent 23 years guiding organizations through change, but what I’ve always cared about most is the people inside those systems, the ones trying to do their best, make good decisions, and stay aligned with their values. Coaching is my way of giving them the clarity, confidence, and steadiness I’ve cultivated in myself.
For HR practitioners, I understand their world intimately, the emotional labor, the responsibility, the need to balance compassion with compliance, and the pressure to be the calm in the storm. I coach them not just on skills, but on resilience, boundaries, and leadership presence.
For students, I see potential before they see it in themselves. I help them connect their lived experiences to their emerging professional identities, and I give them the tools to navigate systems with confidence and purpose.
I help people transform, not by changing who they are, but by helping them step into who they’re becoming.
That’s why coaching feels so natural to me. It’s aligned with my values, my lived experience, and my belief that leadership is both personal and relational. It’s the work that energizes me because it’s the work that changes lives.
